Innovative
uses multiple methods of applying paints and waterproofing materials:
brushing, rolling, airless spray, plural-component spray, high-volume
low-pressure(HVLP) spray,
squeegee, high and low-pressure injection and troweling.
During the course of a project we will, in addition to using brushes,
rollers, sanders, grinders, caulking guns, etc., use the following
types
of equipment:
Paint
Sprayers from small handheld units to trailer-enclosed,
plural- component
spray/workshops
Plural-component,
hydraulic caulking machines
Hydro
(water) dispersing units such as power washers and water blasters
Sand, shot,
ice,
powder
and/ or C02 blasting
Rolling
mechanized scrapers and other coatings removal equipment.
Tubular
fixed scaffolding

Boom lifts
Scissor

Swing
stages and other suspended systems
Each segment of a project is analyzed and depending upon factors
such as accessibility, safety, and efficiency. Appropriate equipment is
assigned as needed. Safety is the overriding factor in equipment
selection, and only OSHA approved (and properly certified, when
applicable) equipment is used; only fully trained and certified
employees are assigned to install and operate each type of equipment.
The method to be used on a given project is subject to the following
criteria, which may be altered during the course of the work as site
conditions and scope change:
Manufacturer's
specifications
Architectural
and Engineering
specifications
Value
Engineering
Wind and
weather conditions
Exposure to
customer and public property
Exposure to
general public & customer employees
When spraying is required or desirable the hours of spraying are
selected to minimize exposure to customer and public property.
All buildings, equipment, statuary, murals, mosaics, signage,
landscaping, and other customer and public property (including motor
vehicles) are protected as needed.
Whether the project is a routine interior paint
job, a high-rise swingstage project, a 300,000 square-foot deck coating
project or an interior tank lining, the same safety procedures and
documentation - IIPP, Codes of Safe Practice, air testing and
monitoring when required, respirator program and weekly safety meetings
among them - are followed and enforced. Employee, client and public
safety
are the first priority in planning any project.
